Dental Check Up

At your initial appointment we offer a comprehensive         examination of your mouth, teeth, gums, soft tissues and oral health condition checking for tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancer and any             abnormalities in the mouth. Treatment and costings will be explained to you. We also take small digital x-rays to aid diagnosis.

Hygiene Clean

Our dentist offers a hygiene service including a regular scale, polish, and a deeper clean. The dentist will gently and thoroughly clean your teeth and gums, giving       preventative advice, oral     hygiene instruction, and demonstrations where       necessary.

White Fillings

After removing any tooth decay, we use white filling      material to fill the teeth. White fillings have good aesthetics, are less noticeable in the mouth and long-lasting

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening, always a popular procedure with our patients. We use the Pola Night 16% carbamide peroxide 10 syringe pack. Pola Night is used at home and the complete course of treatment should take approximately 10 days.

Composite Bonding

If you have small spaces or  irregularly shaped teeth, then composite bonding could be the answer to help create the smile you have always wanted. Very little tooth preparation is needed. High quality white filling materials are used to smooth                irregularities, cover staining and close spaces. Prior to starting the treatment, you will be invited to attend for a trial appointment when we will add a small amount of       composite to the teeth so you can see the colour match    before starting treatment.

Crowns

Crowns are made to cap or cover broken-down teeth. The tooth is prepared, scans and impressions taken and our highly experienced technician will craft a porcelain or        zirconia crown with a shade that closely matches your   adjacent teeth.

Dentures

We fabricate acrylic and chrome full or partial dentures for patients with missing teeth improving chewing function and shape of the mouth. We use specialist laboratories to ensure the denture fits as comfortably as possible. Some people find dentures difficult to tolerate and we may recommend a denture supported by implants to our patients who have many  missing teeth. (See separate section on implants). Dentures supported by        implants, although still removable, are more stable in the mouth and afford a better fit.

Bridges

If you have missing teeth a bridge is an option to fill the space with a natural looking artificial tooth. A resin          retained Maryland Bridge comprises a pontic (artificial tooth) which is attached to a wing. We use dental cement to cement the wing onto the back of one of the adjacent teeth.
